Hi, I’m Chantel.
I am a wife, mother of a free spirited son and a spunky canine, and a true southern bell. I am a NC native and I have always had a passion for healing and restoration.
My journey for mental health services started when I was a School Counselor in 2011. I decided to walk the journey as a therapist after experiencing the high needs of emotional wellness within our youth. My personal experiences has taught me that we have to normalize mental health so that we can become emotionally healthy adults. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, attending trainings and workshops to serve the needs of my free spirited son, dog and clients. I am passionate about self care and although I may utilize self disclosure, I make sure that I use it sparingly so that therapy is aimed to meet the needs of the client. If you are ready to take the path towards healing , I am ready to walk with you.

My Approach
A secure therapeutic relationship can pave the way for effective treatment outcomes. That’s why I tune into the needs of my clients in order to offer best practices. After collaboratively agreeing on goals, I am able to offer evidenced based approaches for the duration of our treatment. Some of the approaches I use are ; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered Therapy (PCP), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) , Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement , Desentization and Reprocessing (EMDR, pending certification) and other modalities that best fits the needs of each individual. Affirmations are used to build rapport. This approach helps to engage with clients that struggle to find hope in the midst of suffering.
Life can be emotionally overwhelming as we face various seasons of challenges. We often need to have a space to connect and regroup within a safe manner. Do you often feel that you are at war with your thoughts and trying to manage them can at times seem impossible? I am there with you and work to offer a safe space for your mental health self care. My goal is to offer a therapeutic space that will allow us to travel the path to healing. Growth is a gradual step and together we can bloom to our highest potential.
